Keratosis pilaris is a buildup of keratin around the hair follicles that often runs in families and is more common with dry skin or eczema. It cannot be cured, but daily moisturizing makes the bumps smoother, it is often better in summer, and it usually fades with age. Scrubbing or picking makes it worse. Caregiver expressed understanding and agreement with plan. Answered all questions.
