Thrush is common in babies and clears with treatment. Give the medicine as prescribed; for Nystatin, wipe it onto the white patches after feeds. Recommended supportive care with an emphasis on boiling or washing pacifiers and bottle nipples daily while treating. Return precautions given including poor feeding, fewer wet diapers, thrush that is not improving, a new diaper rash, new symptoms, prolonged symptoms, worsening symptoms, and other concerns. Caregiver expressed understanding and agreement with plan. Answered all questions.
