The built-in Well Child Check Template is a starting point for learning how Templates, choices, and Building Blocks work together. Its wording and defaults are examples, not clinical recommendations. Review and customize the Template before deciding whether it belongs in your approved workflow.

Repertoire is not an EMR or clinical decision-support system. Do not enter PHI or patient-specific information. Use only generic shorthand here, complete encounter-specific documentation in your approved EMR, and formally review and approve all template content before use.

Insert the saved defaults

Write this on its own line:

WCC

Resolve the line to insert the Well Child Check Template with its currently saved defaults. In the built-in version, no age-specific guidance bundle is selected automatically.

Select an age bundle

Add an age alias after the Template name:

WCC: 6mo

This selects the maintained six-month guidance choice. Other built-in shorthand includes 2wk, 2mo, 4mo, 9mo, 12mo, 15mo, 18mo, and 2yo through 5yo.

The alias only selects saved wording. Repertoire does not know the patient’s age, determine what counseling is appropriate, or verify that counseling occurred.

Select several WCC choices

Separate choices with commas or a semicolon:

WCC: picky eating, sleep difficulties; reassurance

Repertoire keeps the matched choices inside the active WCC Template. Open the resolution details with the details control to confirm exactly what matched.

Add another Template

Use a semicolon when another concern should use its own maintained Template:

WCC; Constipation

This inserts separate Well Child Check and Constipation Templates. Repertoire does not decide whether a concern should be separate; the wording in the line tells it which maintained objects to use.

Add shared Building Blocks

Building Blocks add reusable details that are not specific to the WCC Template:

WCC: 9mo; interpreter: Spanish; mother historian

This resolves the WCC age choice plus the maintained interpreter and historian choices. Use only patient-independent demonstration wording in Repertoire.

Combine a well visit with a follow-up Template

One line can select choices from more than one Template:

WCC; ADHD follow up: doing well

The result depends entirely on the Templates, aliases, and choices currently saved in your library. Check the resolution details and generated text, then use Undo if the result is not what you intended.
