Recommended supportive care with an emphasis on a warm, wet washcloth for about 10 minutes three times a day, without squeezing or rubbing the bump. Return precautions given including redness or swelling spreading around the eye, fever, vision changes, a bump that is not improving, new symptoms, prolonged symptoms, worsening symptoms, and other concerns.
